Raising “typical” children can present many challenges. Having a child with special needs significantly increases stress, and often leads to other family issues. Branches of Hope attempts to take all family members into account when offering interventions and home programming for children with special needs so that stress is reduced and the home environment is affected in a positive manner.
Branches of Hope was founded by Janie Dyment, M.A. M.S., a long-time professional and family member of individuals with special needs. Our Director is Dr. John C. Burke, a highly published researcher and practitioner, who has throughout his career worked with thousands of families locally and nationally, as well as internationally. As part of his commitment to partnering with families, Dr. Burke has co-presented with parents of individuals with autism at a Summit Meeting of the United Nations.
Together, we have established Branches of Hope for parents to seek unbiased assistance, support and access to truly cutting edge information and interventions. As such we offer a range of services including: |

While a child may do well in one to one settings or with familiar people, some children may need some specialized assistance becoming integrated within their preschool program. BofH works in collaboration with several preschool programs to provide needed support to increase success. |

Programs must have a real impact in the daily lives of children and their families. While we provide certain services at our Center, we also bridge to other locations within the child’s community. If a parent is having certain difficulties, we want to be “there” regardless of location. |
